Welcome! I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, working in the group of Prof. Nuh Gedik. My research focuses on the nonequilibrium dynamics and collective behaviour of quantum many-body systems in the condensed phase. I specialized in the field of ultrafast optical spectroscopy on correlated electron systems in the groups of Prof. Majed Chergui and Prof. Fabrizio Carbone at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, from which I obtained my PhD in 2017. My current research interests involve quantum control and photoinduced phase transitions of correlated and topological materials using time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and pump-probe terahertz spectroscopy. Besides physics, my passions include playing classical piano, attending alternative rock concerts and exploring black and white photography.
